Prepare to be Scared!
Haunted Graves, sponsored by the Mayfield-Graves County Tourism Commission, is a month-long celebration of all things Halloween in Mayfield and Graves County, Kentucky. October 2021 is the inaugural event of what is expected to become an annual campaign, bringing people of all ages to the community each year, to experience Haunted Graves for themselves!
Mayfield & Graves County already is home to the Wooldridge Monuments in Maplewood Cemetery, known as the “Strange Procession that Never Moves”, and featured in the television show, “Ripley’s Believe it or Not”, and in the book, “Weird Kentucky”. Mayfield & Graves County also is host to A-Maize-ing Farms, the largest corn maize in Kentucky, as well as terrifying places like Talon Falls Adventure Park in Melber and the Industrial Slaughterhouse in Fancy Farm (all three open every weekend during the month of October). Our local movie theater, Princess Theaters, is hosting a month-long “ScreamFest Film Festival”; when your name is Graves County and you’ve been home to the filming of not one, but two horror movies, Talon Falls and Starlight, you know you’ve got something spooky going on…thus, the creation of Haunted Graves.
Below is a schedule of what’s on the Haunted Graves calendar thus far, and there’s always room for more; give us a call at 270-247-6106 to get your special event added.
