Helen LaFrance Exhibit
Please join us in celebrating the Art and Life of iconic Graves County Memory Artist, Helen LaFrance, whose wonderful Folk Art works capture life in the Rural American South.
An exhibit of 21 of her paintings – 14 belonging to the Paducah Historical Preservation Group, and 7 on loan from local private collectors, including the Mayfield Courthouse painting belonging to the Waldrop family of Mayfield – can be viewed at the Mayfield Graves County Art Guild on March 4-7 and March 10-14 from 10am-4pm weekdays, Saturdays 10am-2pm.
A special reception will occur on Friday, March 6th from 5-7pm. A friend of Helen’s will be there to show some of the dolls that Helen made.
In addition, a collection of Artwork by celebrated Paducah Folk Artist, Poet, and Author Joan “JoAnn” Dance will be on display and available for purchase. These pieces were donated to the Guild by her family with proceeds earmarked for our Building Fund.
So please stop by and see this large collection of Helen’s beautiful paintings, together again at “home” in Mayfield
